Defined by culture and femininity, RAWHAUS aims to shed a light on voices that can not be unheard.

Jaleesa Moses is a Fine Artist and YouTuber born in Plainfield, NJ. After completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Delaware, she quickly became known for her hair tutorials and beauty videos. These videos relating to hair, makeup and lifestyle have since surpassed 29 million views. In 2018, she created the series “Painting with Jaleesa”—art videos that have amassed a passionate following interested in the various topics discussed, such as confidence, philosophy and mental health.

A Shorty Award nominee, Jaleesa has been featured in Teen Vogue and Destination: Disney Style’s China segment exploring China’s top Disney retailers, before attending Shanghai Fashion Week. As an ardent public speaker, Jaleesa has been seen speaking on the stages of Ipsy’s Generation Beauty conventions, YouTube’s “YouTube Black” assemblies (a gathering of YouTube’s top black creators) and with the Italian Trade Commission for Bologna’s Cosmoprof, just to name a few. Italy has been her biggest international adventure to date—meeting with and promoting popular Italian beauty brands like Salvatore Ferragamo, Perlier and Rossano Ferretti. She has also been featured in campaigns for NYX and Colourpop, as well as partnerships with top beauty brands like Pantene, L’Oreal, MAC, NARS, Smashbox, Hourglass, Laura Mercier and many others.

Currently, she spends her time creating digital and oil paintings with a focus on femininity, race and culture. In addition, she is working to release a short book of poems on love and loss.

Jaleesa currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.
